Brad Davison’s shot on Connor McCaffery below the belt in Monday night’s game will cost the Wisconsin guard one game.
Wednesday, the B1G announced that Davison will be suspended for one game after delivering a low blow on Iowa’s McCaffery on Monday night. The incident was ruled a flagrant foul on Davison during the game after a review from the officials.
Iowa defeated Wisconsin 68-62.
“The Big Ten Conference office announced today that Wisconsin men’s basketball player Brad Davison has been suspended for one game and issued a public reprimand for violating the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy after he fouled an opposing player with 32 seconds remaining in the second half against Iowa on Jan. 27, 2020,” The Big Ten said in a statement. “Davison received a flagrant 1 personal foul from the game officials for his action. Davison is ineligible to play in Wisconsin’s next game on Feb. 1, 2020 against Michigan State.”

Davison, a junior, is averaging 8.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season. The Badgers are currently 12-9 on the year, with a 5-5 mark in B1G play.
