Wisconsin’s defense has all sorts of momentum after dominating at Michigan State last Saturday.

Some felt that the Badgers were primed to upset Michigan at the Big House and take down their third top-10 foe.

If they do that, it’ll be without their senior leader.

According to ESPN’s Jesse Temple, Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

That’s awful news for Wisconsin ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Ann Arbor. Biegel was coming off one of the best games of his career in leading the Badgers to a defensive-fueled win at MSU.

That also means that Biegel would likely miss the showdown against Ohio State in Madison in two weeks. The back end of that timeframe would have him returning for either the Iowa or Nebraska game.

The Badgers do have a bevy of linebackers who have been dominant this year. T.J. Watt is first on the team with tackles for loss while Jack Cichy and T.J. Edwards have both helped the Badgers get off to a 4-0 start.

Biegel, who elected to return for his senior season instead of heading off to the NFL, is the unquestioned leader of this group.

His injury news came on the same day that Wisconsin announced kicker Rafael Gaglianone is out with a season-ending back injury.

Wisconsin and Michigan will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Ann Arbor.
