Brad Davison is going to be remembered as one of the most important players to wear a Wisconsin uniform. He wasn’t always the best player on the team, but he was the quintessential glue guy that always held the team together.

Davison’s career with the Badgers came to an end on Sunday when Wisconsin dropped a 54-49 game to Iowa State in the Round of 32. It was a disappointing end to a great season — one in which Wisconsin claimed a share of the B1G title and Johnny Davis was named the B1G Player of the Year.

Just a few days after Wisconsin’s season concluded, Davison shared a heartfelt message with Badger fans. He posted it to his Twitter page.

“Being a Badger is a Privilege. I have been Blessed with the Opportunity to wear this Jersey,” Davison wrote. “Thankful for the Love & Support. The Relationships & Memories we will have forever!

“Not certain what my Future holds, but know the Author of my story! Once a Badger, Always a Badger.”

Davison started in all 33 games for the Badgers during the 2021-22 campaign. He averaged 14.1 points, 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while Wisconsin finished the year with a 25-8 record.

Over the course of his five-year career in Madison, Davison started in 157 of his 161 games with the team. He leaves with 1,827 points, 557 rebounds, 343 assists and 160 steals to his name.
