Braelon Allen is continuing his remarkable freshman season, and it did not take long for him to hit 100 yards against Nebraska.

It came with time winding down in the first quarter of action and facing a 3rd-and-1 in Wisconsin’s own territory. Allen appeared to be bottled up quickly and even took a hit off his shoulder, but the Nebraska defender failed to wrap him up.

The blow effectively sprung Allen into the open field, and he was off. He rolled all the way for 71 yards and a tie-breaking touchdown to eclipse 100 yards:

With the run, Allen is already up to 109 yards, giving Allen his 7th straight game of 100 yards rushing. That impressive stretch is a freshman record for consecutive 100-yard games at Wisconsin, per the ABC broadcast.

Allen’s stretch of 100-yard games started against Illinois. That game also coincides with the start of Wisconsin’s current 6-game winning streak. Can the Badgers make it 7 vs. Nebraska?
