Braelon Allen is currently in his rookie season for the New York Jets after playing 3 seasons of college football at Wisconsin. During his time at Wisconsin, he had 3 impressive seasons before declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.

He rushed for 3,494 yards and 35 touchdowns in his 3 seasons in college.

While it may have seemed like he enjoyed his time in Madison, he posted a message on X that suggested that his last season in Madison wasn’t as enjoyable.

He posted this message not too long after Wisconsin lost to USC, 38-21. The Badgers were leading 21-10 at the half but were thoroughly dominated in the second half and fell to 2-2 on the season.

During his lone season playing for Luke Fickell and his current staff, Allen dealt with injuries but was still able to put together a solid campaign. He carried the ball 181 times for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Badgers qualified for a bowl last season, but Allen sat that game out as many players are deciding to do now.

While it is unknown what exactly Allen is hinting at in his tweets, it is unlikely that it is going to compliment Fickell or his current staff. The way Allen was utilized by Fickell and Phil Longo’s offensive system was scrutinized throughout 2023, and it’s clear the Badgers are still searching for an identity under Fickell after a blown lead vs. USC.

For the Badgers, they will look to bounce back next week at home against the Purdue Boilermakers.
