Braelon Allen leaves Week 9 vs. Ohio State with injury
Braelon Allen is Wisconsin’s star running back, but he was apparently injured against Ohio State. He did not come out for the first series of the second half with the Badger offense, and his status is unclear for the rest of the game.
Allen finished out the first half on the field, but he was tackled and twisted up near the goal line at the end of the half. As the teams left the field, he was seen visibly limping while being helped to the locker room for halftime.
There has been no official update on Allen’s status, but he did not see the field at all on the first drive of the second half. Jackson Acker filled in for the majority of that drive.
In the first half, Allen had 50 yards on 10 carries. He dominated the offensive gameplan of the Badgers though the team managed just 3 points before the break.
By now, Wisconsin’s depth in the RB room will be severely tested. The team is already without backup RB Chez Mellusi who sustained a season-ending injury earlier in the season.
