In Wisconsin’s victory over Nebraska Saturday night, a record was broken. Freshman running back Braelon Allen set a new Wisconsin freshman rushing record.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound running back rushed for 228 and 3 touchdowns against the Cornhuskers. That marked the seventh-consecutive game Allen has hit the century mark.
No freshman running back in Badgers history has accomplished that feat.

Wisconsin defeated Nebraska 35-28.
That put him over 1,000 yards for the season and 12 touchdowns on the year. Coming out of high school, Allen was ranked the No. 25 best linebacker in the country by 247 sports.
But head coach Paul Chryst obviously saw Allen more as a running back and it changed his future and made this team better.
Now, there are whispers of potential Heisman hopes for the young running back going into next year and that would be an amazing feat for someone this young.
