Braelon Allen was dinged up late in the first half of Wisconsin’s Week 9 game against Ohio State, and the star running back is indeed sidelined for the rest of the game.

The RB was utilized down near the goal line just before halftime and was involved in some hard runs trying to get into the end zone. Wisconsin eventually kicked a field goal, and Allen was seen limping and being helped into the locker room as the teams left the field.

Jackson Acker started the second half with the offense, and Allen’s status has indeed been updated. He was spotted in street clothes during the third quarter upon returning to the field, a clear sign his night was done.

Even more concerning, a video from WKOW’s Karley Marotta on the sideline shows Allen with a walking boot on his lower left leg. While it’s unclear what the specific ailment is, the Badgers will hope for the best that it is not something major.

Wisconsin will look to pull off the upset without Allen, but it will not be easy. Quarterback Braedyn Locke threw a touchdown pass early in the third quarter, but the task facing the Badgers is still incredibly tough.
