Bret who? Braelon Allen has honest admission when asked about Bielema's return to Madison
Wisconsin will be facing a familiar presence in Madison on Saturday. Bret Bielema is set to make his return to Wisconsin since his first season with Illinois in 2021.
Braelon Allen was asked about what it’s been like dealing with the outside noise about the ordeal and gave a great answer. Apparently he didn’t know that Bielema had even coached at Wisconsin, according to 96.7 The Zone’s Zach Heilprin.
Bielema coached at Wisconsin from 2006-2012.
Braelon Allen was asked whether the outside noise around Bret Bielema’s return to Madison mattered to the players. He said he didn’t know anything about it. Asked if he knew Bielema was the head coach here before, he shook his head no.

Allen still managed to get 165 yards rushing even though Wisconsin get pummeled in Columbus by Ohio State 52-21. Allen has 497 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns through four games.
Last season’s meeting in Champaign ended with Wisconsin shutting out Illinois 24-0. The Fighting Illini are 3-1 coming into this game, while Wisconsin will be looking to avenge the loss to the Buckeyes.
