Melvin Gordon is out to a hot start as he tries to lead the Denver Broncos to a Sunday Night Football upset of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Broncos have had a bit of a crazy year, including last weekend when Denver did not have a quarterback on the available roster for their game. Fortunately, the quarterbacks have returned but it was Gordon gashing the Chiefs with a big play early in this one.
The play was a basic run off the right side with the left guard pulling around. Gordon waited for that block to open a huge hole as he raced into the open field and past Kansas City’s defense.
His big-play went for 65 yards and set up the first touchdown of the night:

With the run, Gordon is up to 90 rushing yards on seven carries and has added an 11-yard reception to his total with the Broncos looking to upset the defending Super Bowl champs in Kansas City.
