Five days ago, it was reported that Wisconsin has “emerged as a serious contender” to land Williams. As a freshman, Williams stepped in when preseason Heisman candidate Spencer Rattler was benched. This season, Williams threw for 1,912 yards and 21 touchdowns with just 4 interceptions in 11 games. The former 5-star recruit also rushed for 442 yards and 6 touchdowns. On Friday, Wisconsin great Montee Ball made a social media pitch for Williams to take his talents to Madison. Williams is also reportedly considering USC, where he would reunite with Lincoln Riley, and LSU.
As for the basketball game, No. 11 Wisconsin held on to beat Minnesota 66-60.
