Chris McIntosh reveals Camp Randall Stadium upgrade before 2024 season
Chris McIntosh, Wisconsin’s athletics director, has shared with the athletics board that the Badgers will replace all of the video boards at Camp Randall Stadium ahead of the 2024 season.
The video boards are expected to eliminate the static panels on the board, and be an upgrade in the viewing experience overall.
This is the latest upgrade to the stadium after the school already kicked off work on a heated field. With the expanded College Football Playoff field, and expected greater exposure, the first-round games are scheduled for Dec. 20-21, 2024, and Dec. 19-20, 2025. Normal temperatures for those dates in Madison are below freezing.
Marquee home games for Wisconsin this season include Alabama on Sept. 14, Penn State on Oct. 26 and Oregon on Nov. 16.
The Badgers finished 7-6 in Luke Fickell’s first season in 2023, but lost the ReliaQuest Bowl to LSU.
