Corey Clement is back.

Ok, the Wisconsin tailback didn’t miss nearly as much time as he did last year. But after one game on the shelf with an ankle injury, Clement is expected to return.

The senior tailback is slated to start on Saturday vs. No. 8 Michigan State, according to ESPN’s Brian Bennett.

As Bennett said, that ankle will be heavily taped.

The Badgers need a spark in their running game after struggling against Georgia State. Without Clement, Wisconsin was held to just 3.8 yards per carry in a nail-biter victory.

Clement is off to a fine start in 2016. In two games, he has 197 rushing yards and three scores. He’ll provide a major help to Alex Hornibrook, who is getting his first career start for the Badgers.

Wisconsin will be without kicker Rafael Gaglianone in East Lansing. But at the very least, the Badgers won’t be without their go-to weapon.
