Cole LaCrue is heading to the B1G. He announced his decision to commit to Wisconsin per 9News Denver’s Jake Maier.

LaCrue is a 3-star QB in the 2023 class per the 247Sports Composite. He hails from Broomfield, Colorado and will be heading northeast to Madison. LaCrue is 6-foot-2, and weighs 190 pounds.

LaCrue is Jim Leonhard’s first QB commit from the 2023 class.

If things keep going the way they have been for Leonhard, the Wisconsin interim HC will be able to coach him later on down the road. The Badgers are now 5-4 and 3-1 under Leonhard ever since he took over.

Wisconsin still has the second to last ranked class in the B1G for the 2023 cycle with 13 commits. LaCrue chose to go with Wisconsin over Colorado and Tulane.

LaCrue may have been motivated by Wisconsin’s recent success when it came to his decision.

Stay tuned for more updates on Wisconsin recruiting down the road. Can Leonhard bring in even more recruits?
