Contract details for new Wisconsin offensive coordinator Bobby Engram have been released.

Monday, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel tweeted out the details of Engram’s contract, which will run through Jan. 31, 2024.  He will receive a base salary of $500,000 per year and an additional compensation package of $500,000 for his first season.

Engram will receive an additional $100,000 in compensation money for his second year, bringing that total to $600,000.

Engram was with the Baltimore Ravens since the 2014 season before taking the job in Madison. He started out as the wide receivers coach, working in that role through 2018. Over the past three seasons, he’s been the team’s tight ends coach.

Wisconsin was in need of a new offensive coordinator when Joe Rudolph departed for Virginia Tech. Paul Chryst and Engram worked together at Pitt.

Engram is familiar with the B1G, playing college football at Penn State. He was a three-time first-team All-B1G selection during his career in the 1990s and was a second-round selection in the 1996 NFL Draft.

Engram went on to have a 14-year career in the NFL, playing with the Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. He ended his professional career with 7,751 yards and 35 touchdowns on 650 receptions.

Wisconsin is coming off a 9-4 season in 2021.
