Darrion Dupree, 4-star 2024 RB out of Chicago, announces B1G commitment

Darrion Dupree has found a home in the B1G. The blue-chip ball carrier from Chicago has committed to play for Wisconsin.

Dupree took to Twitter on Friday to announce his verbal pledge to Luke Fickell’s program. He posted a note saying the following:

“First off, I would love to thank my parents for bringing me into this world. Then I would love to thank my coaches, teammates, and staff at Mount Carmel high School. I would not have gotten this far without you. I would also like to thank any and all the coaches who has ever recruited me, I will forever be grateful for the belief you had in me! Finally, FOR THE COLLEGE | PLAN TO ATTEND I would like to thank THEM FOR THE BELIEF they have IN MY TALENTS. With that being said, I am 100 percent-committed to continuing my academic and football career at the University of Wisconsin !! GO badgers!! #badgers #RBU !!”

A Mount Carmel standout, Dupree’s listed measurements are 5-10, 190 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Dupree is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 Illinois product, No. 32 running back and No. 366 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Dupree received scholarship offers from 29 schools during his recruitment. He chose the Badgers over Illinois, Missouri and others.
