A dream turned into reality for Jonathan Taylor last month, as the former Wisconsin running back heard his named called in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. With the 41st overall selection, the ex-Badger was taken by the Indianapolis Colts.

Last week, Taylor signed his rookie contract with the Colts, making him an official player in the NFL. Now, details of Taylor’s first professional contract have been released.

Per 247Sports, Taylor’s contract is a four-year deal worth $7,829,150, which includes a $3,253,928 signing bonus.

Though he was not taken in the first round of the draft, many are expecting Taylor to have a solid professional career after seeing him perform at Wisconsin. Taylor eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark in the last two years with the Badgers and scored 50 touchdowns in three seasons.

In 2018 and 2019, Taylor led the B1G in rushing yardage.
