Former Wisconsin star Nigel Hayes is responsible for one of the best videos you’ll see all week.
The ex-Badger surprised his mom and stepdad with some incredible news: He’s completely paid off the rest of their mortgage on their home.
Hayes wasn’t able to be there for this video, but he wrote a letter explaining the news.
Here’s the letter and emotional video:

Hayes briefly spent some time in the NBA, but is currently playing overseas with Zalgiris in the EuroLeague. He’s averaging an efficient 9.5 points per game this season and has been a very effective 3-point shooter.
Over his four year career with Wisconsin, Hayes averaged 12.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. But even more impressive, he made at least the Sweet 16 every season he was with the Badgers. Wisconsin hasn’t been back to that round since Hayes’ final season in 2017.
Congrats to Hayes for achieving such an awesome moment.

This is the best thing you'll see for quite some time.
Former #Badgers men's basketball star Nigel Hayes wrote a letter to his parents letting them know he paid off their mortgage. The moment his mom realizes it, that's the dream right there. Well done @NIGEL_HAYES https://t.co/96qoxMFwl8
