The Badgers are sitting pretty heading into the second half of the season!

Entering Week 8, Wisconsin finds itself halfway to an undefeated regular season. A fourth shutout of the season against Michigan State vaulted the Badgers to a 6-0 record at the halfway mark.

Moving forward, the Badgers are unquestionably the heavy favorites in the B1G West division with Iowa and Minnesota the likely competitors. At this point, the Hawkeyes already have two conference losses while the Gophers have somehow started the season undefeated.

Coming out of Week 7, ESPN’s FPI has updated the projections for Wisconsin the rest of the way. Despite starting 6-0, the Badgers are given just a 5.8% chance of winning out. Much of that has to do with a looming showdown against Ohio State as Wisconsin is favored in every game but that one the rest of the way.

Here is how the rest of the schedule looks for the Badgers in terms of win probability:

  • Oct. 19 @ Illinois – 97.0%
  • Oct. 26 @ Ohio State – 24.9%
  • Nov. 9 vs Iowa – 83.2%
  • Nov. 16 @ Nebraska – 91.1%
  • Nov. 23 vs Purdue – 95.7%
  • Nov. 30 @ Minnesota – 82.5%
