Former Wisconsin and Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen may have found a new gig.

According to a report FootballScoop, Andersen is expected to be named the new head coach at Utah State. It would be his second stint with the Aggies if he takes over the job.

Andersen was the head coach at Utah State from 2009-2012, compiling a 26-24 record, which included an 11-2 year in 2012. He guided the Aggies to two bowl appearances, going 1-1 in the postseason.

Prior to the 2013 season, Andersen was named the head coach at Wisconsin, taking over for longtime leader Bret Bielema. In two seasons with the Badgers, he was 20-7 and appeared in one B1G Championship Game. But Andersen unexpectedly left Madison and took over at Oregon State prior to the start of the 2015. With the Beavers, he was just 7-23 and resigned midway through the year.

Overall, Andersen owns a 56-61 record and has coached in three bowl games. Utah State is hoping that the success of the Aggies can be sustained under Andersen’s leadership.

Utah State finished the 2018 campaign with a 10-2 record.
