One person is injured after a fire involving roofing solvent material occurred on Wednesday morning at Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium. The school released a statement on the situation.

Camp Randall Stadium is currently undergoing renovations. The incident occurred at the construction site of the south end zone renovation project, per the release from the school.

The fire was extinguished by non-emergency personnel at the scene. The individual who was injured because of the fire was treated by paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

“Our thoughts are with the individual who was injured this morning and we are grateful to the first responders both already on-site as well as from fire and police personnel, who assisted during the incident,” the statement read.

“The company heading the south end zone renovation project, J.P. Cullen, and its subcontract partners are investigating the incident (as is the UW Police Department) and offering support to the injured worker, co-workers and family members.”
