Former Ohio State WR Jayden Ballard is staying in the Big Ten.

Ballard, who entered the transfer portal, will continue his career at Wisconsin, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Ballard departs Columbus after 4 seasons with the Buckeyes. His OSU online bio described him as one of the fastest players on the team.

Out of Massillon (Ohio) Washington High School, Ballard was a sought-after recruit. On the 247Sports Composite, he was rated 4-stars, the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio, No. 15 wide receiver and No. 99 prospect overall in the Class of 2021. He stayed home and signed with Ohio State over offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan State, Maryland and others.

Ballard played in 35 games over his 4 seasons with Ohio State. His best season as a Buckeye came in 2022, when he logged 8 catches for 155 yards and his only career touchdown.

This past season, Ballard appeared in 7 games, logging 2 receptions for 18 yards.

The Badgers are revamping their passing offense for the 2025 campaign, bringing in Maryland transfer QB Billy Edwards Jr. In 11 game this past season, Edwards threw for 2,881 yards with 15 touchdowns and 9 interceptions with 150 rushing yards and 5 scores on the ground.
