Wisconsin fans may remember former lineman Craig Urbik. He was voted 2nd-team All-B1G back in 2007 for the Badgers and was one of the top lineman prospects of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Following his college career in Madison, Urbik headed for the NFL early with 2 classes left in order to graduate. The Pittsburgh Steelers called his name in the 3rd round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills (2010-2015) and Miami Dolphins (2016) as well.

Now that his NFL career is over, Urbik decided that it was time to finish what he had started at Wisconsin per Senior Writer Mike Lucas of UWBadgers.com:

“Finishing my degree? I had to do it,” Urbik said. “It was one of those lifelong goals. It will be good to be recognized — to be there in cap and gown — especially to share it with my kids and wife and family. Finish it up. As soon as you get done doing it, you’re really glad you did. I just wish I had done it years ago.”

Urbik and his family are planning on attending the graduation ceremony in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday. His degree is in Life Sciences Communication.
