Former Wisconsin offensive lineman and current Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick shared a major update on his health Wednesday via social media.

Frederick tweeted a statement announcing he has Guillain Barre Syndrome, an autoimmune disease. He shares that he has received two treatments in the last 48 hours and is feeling much better. He says he will continue the treatments and has an optimistic outlook, but does not have a timetable for any return to the football field.

Frederick was a first-round selection by the Cowboys in the 2013 NFL Draft coming off a first-team All-American season at Wisconsin in 2012. Frederick is a four-time Pro Bowler (2014-17) in his NFL career.
