Former Wisconsin RB Dare Ogunbowale drills clutch 4th-quarter FG
Former Wisconsin RB Dare Ogunbowale has seen sparse playing time in the backfield of the Houston Texans this season. However, the team needed Ogunbowale to step up in a special role on Sunday afternoon.
During Sunday’s action, Houston’s starting kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn sustained a quad injury that ended his afternoon early. Ogunbowale was called on to handle the kicking duties in the second half, and that included a clutch field goal.
With the game tied at 30 points apiece in the fourth quarter, the Texans sent Ogunbowale out for a 29-yard field goal. The kick was perfect as he split the uprights to give Houston a 33-30 lead!

So far this season, Ogunbowale has just 2 carries for 4 yards as a running back and does not have a catch or a carry in Sunday’s game. However, he now has the clutch kick to his credit, and we’ll see if that’s enough for the Texans to get over the finish line in this game.
