Former Wisconsin running back Loyal Crawford has taken to Twitter to defend himself after being dismissed from the Badgers’ football team earlier on Tuesday.
Crawford was dismissed from the team and Antwan Roberts, another freshman running back, was suspended. There were no details given during the release by Wisconsin.
Crawford has since tweeted that he was treated “so unfairly” and claimed Roberts broke into his dorm room and made threats.
Crawford then followed those 2 tweets up with another one alleging that not only Roberts broke into his dorm, but he attacked him as well.
Note: These tweets have since been deleted by Crawford.
Before all of this occurred, Crawford was a 3-star prospect per 247Sports composite and was ranked as the No. 6 best player in Wisconsin. He also was considered the No. 37 best running back in the country and the No. 572 overall recruit.
As for Roberts, he also was a 3-star prospect, though he was out of Tennessee. He was ranked as the No. 32 best recruit in Tennessee and the No. 81 best running back in the country, per 247Sports composite.
The Badgers have had no further comment on the matter at this time.
