Graham Mertz is facing a lot of questions entering the 2022 season. In the Week 1 contest against Illinois State, he has been phenomenal with a highly efficient outing.

The other good news for Mertz and the Badger offense is that wide receiver Chimere Dike looks like a legitimate threat for Wisconsin. The two connected for a touchdown late in the third quarter to make it 31-0, Wisconsin.

On the play, Dike beat his man and created a lot of separation breaking out to the corner of the end zone. Mertz spun a beautifully thrown ball his direction, and it was an easy catch for the touchdown.

So far in the game, Mertz has completed passes to 7 different Badgers and has just 2 incompletions all night. Dike has been Mertz’s favorite target with 3 receptions for 106 yards and the touchdown.
