Interest in Wisconsin safety Scott Nelson rising ahead of NFL Draft
Wisconsin’s Scott Nelson is drawing more and more interest as the NFL Draft approaches with the first round set for Thursday evening.
Aaron Wilson with the Pro Football network reported Wednesday evening that Nelson completed a virtual interview with San Francisco 49ers. That puts the 49ers in a group of 7 teams to have virtual interviews with Nelson. He has also worked out privately for the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.

Along with Nelson’s impressive physical measurements, his body of work at Wisconsin was more than solid. He finished 4th on the Badgers with 58 tackles during the 2021 season and finished 2nd on the team with 6 passes defended.
In 4 seasons at Wisconsin, Nelson finished with 125 total tackles, 11.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 4 interceptions and 15 passes defended. It will be itneresting to see where Nelson lands to begin his NFL career.
