Jack Sanborn is one of Wisconsin’s top defenders. He’s second on the team in total tackles and in the top 10 in the B1G in tackles for loss.

He’s also one of the toughest players the Badgers have.

During Saturday’s game against Iowa, Sanborn dislocated his finger — he even needed stitches because it was so bad. You’d think that would keep him out of the game, right?

Think again. After all. “It’s Iowa Week.”

Sanborn was huge in Wisconsin’s upset of the No. 9-ranked Hawkeyes. He had 7 tackles and 0.5 sacks as the Badgers held Iowa to just 7 points and 156 total yards of offense in the upset. He did it all with a dislocated finger. Impressive, isn’t it?

With the win, Wisconsin improved to 3-2 in a now-crowded B1G West with 4 games left on the schedule. Things are sure to get interesting if the Badgers keep playing like this.
