Jake Ferguson is likely putting the finishing touches on his career at Wisconsin, and the tight end added a Badgers record to his credit in Week 6.

Facing off against Illinois, Ferguson recorded a catch early in the second half. That gives Ferguson the record of having a catch in 39 straight games, a new Wisconsin record.

Ferguson had been tied with Lee Evans at 38 straight games coming into Saturday’s game. Evans played wide receiver for the Badgers from 1999-2003.

Entering Saturday’s game, Ferguson ranked second on the team with 15 catches this season. For his career, Ferguson had 114 catches for 1,276 yards and 10 TD prior to Week 6.
