Jay Harper is a 3-star cornerback who hails from Valley high school in Valley, Alabama. The 6-foot, 165 pound defensive back holds some impressive offers, but closed his recruitment Monday when he made his commitment to Wisconsin.

This is a strong get for the Badgers, who now have 16 commits in the Class of 2024 cycle. Harper represents Wisconsin’s 2nd CB commitment, joining 3-star Vernon Woodward.

Harper chose the Badgers over offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville, Mississippi State and Missouri. He committed to Wisconsin despite visiting Louisville this past weekend.

Harper is considered to be the No. 638 player in the country, as well as the No. 61 CB and No. 29 player from the state of Alabama.
