JJ Watt responds to Wisconsin fan criticism for speaking to Alabama football team

JJ Watt spoke to the Alabama football team this offseason. At least one Wisconsin fan doesn’t think it’s right that the Badger great spent time with UW’s Week 3 opponent.

The fan accused Watt of speaking to Alabama during game week. Watt clarified that he was in Tuscaloosa in August. Watt also joked that he encouraged UA players to try out the Madison bars on Friday night.

It’s unclear what made the Wisconsin fan think Watt was in Tuscaloosa this week. Alabama posted about Watt speaking to the team on Aug. 16. Watt also posted about the engagement, and even noted that he wished the Crimson Tide luck every game except Sept. 14.

Badger fans don’t have to worry about Watt’s loyalties. It’s clear which team he’ll be supporting at noon ET on Saturday.
