Joel Klatt is previewing all the bowl action coming up in college football this week. One of those will be a late Tuesday evening Guaranteed Rate Bowl between Wisconsin and Oklahoma State.

That game features a lot of roster turnover on both sides of the matchup. The Badgers have quarterback Graham Mertz in the transfer portal while key defenders Keeanu Benton and Nick Herbig have opted out for the NFL Draft.

Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders is also in the portal and looking to change locations. Those types of decisions have really made it difficult for Klatt and others to have any outlook for the bowl matchup.

“It’s really difficult to get a sense of how these teams are going to play or even where they’re going to be strong because the numbers from the regular season, aren’t necessarily indicative of what you’re going to see in the bowl game,” explained Klatt.

As for the Badgers, Klatt is interested in seeing the QBs the Badgers will play in the game.

“Between (Chase Wolf and Myles Burkett), they’ve only thrown 11 passes all year, so not a lot of experience, but this is kind of why bowl games are interesting now,” Klatt admitted.

Tuesday’s game is set for a 10:15 pm ET kickoff from Phoenix. We’ll see what these two teams can come up with in the bowl game.
