Johnny Davis injury: Greg Gard offers outlook for star player's B1G Tournament availability
Wisconsin’s outright B1G title hangs in the balance, but a bigger concern for the Badgers right now is the health of star Johnny Davis.
During the loss to Nebraska, Davis was injured during a drive to the basket. After tripping on a drive, he absorbed hard contact and went down awkwardly.
Davis’ injury was announced as a lower-body injury but not a lot of details were released beyond that. After the game, head coach Greg Gard addressed Davis’ outlook for the B1G Tournament.
While Gard declined to get into specifics, he expressed optimism that Davis “is going to be fine” and ready for Indianapolis.

A National Player of the Year candidate, Davis leads the Badgers in scoring (20.3 points per game), rebounding (8.3), assists (2.3) and is second on the team in steals (1.1). It goes without saying that Wisconsin will desperately need Davis and his production if the Badgers hope to get deep in the B1G and NCAA Tournaments.
