Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor has accomplished an incredible feat.

After a tremendous freshman season, Taylor broke the NCAA’s freshman rushing record during Saturday night’s Orange Bowl game against Miami. The record previously set by Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson at 1,925 yards.

Taylor broke the record in the first half.

Entering the Orange Bowl, Taylor had galloped for 1,847 yards in 13 games this season, averaging 142.1 yards per game. He led the B1G in total rushing yards by more than 500 yards. He also scored 13 touchdowns.

Taylor rushed for 85 yards on 16 carries through the first two quarters of the Orange Bowl.

The incredible season for the Badgers freshman is ending on a really high note.
