Jonathan Taylor caps clutch receiving TD with backwards run into end zone
Wisconsin has a 10-7 halftime lead, thanks in part to this clutch play by Jonathan Taylor!
Minnesota actually struck first with a quick touchdown against the Badgers. It was a combination of a nice play by the Gophers and busted coverage by Wisconsin that allowed Rashod Bateman to get open downfield.
Fortunately, the Badgers have settled down and have not allowed another score by the Gophers. On the offensive side of the ball, Jack Coan found Taylor for this score.
Most of Taylor’s work comes on the ground, but this time, he was open for a nice throw. After reeling in the catch, he backed his way into the end zone for the lead.
According to BTN, it is Taylor’s first receiving touchdown in B1G play for his career:
