Jonathan Taylor looked more like his normal self over the weekend. In a win for the Indianapolis Colts, Taylor produced 147 yards on 22 carries.
The big play for the day from Taylor was a game-changing touchdown that went for 66 yards. Despite being a brilliant run by Taylor, he made sure to put the focus on his teammates helping him pull it off (Via ProFootballTalk).
“It’s awesome, but I love that I’m able to share this with my teammates because if you guys saw especially the big run, I mean it was all 11 guys,” Taylor said of winning AFC Player of the Week honors. “Tight ends making sure they get back on the slice block, O-line especially Braden [Smith] at tackle, making sure he washes everything down. It’s fun because it’s not something you can just enjoy by yourself, it’s something you can talk with other people about.”
After an incredible 2021 season, Taylor has been limited in 7 games played for the Colts this season. Sunday was just Taylor’s 2nd 100-yard game of the season, but he looks to be feeling much better moving forward.
