Jonathan Taylor, former Wisconsin RB, unfortunately snaps an impressive streak
Jonathan Taylor unfortunately snapped an impressive streak dating back to before high school Wednesday. The former Wisconsin running back missed a football practice for the first time in his football career with a toe injury.
If that’s true, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that’s a pretty incredible feat Taylor had pulled off. Take your rest, Taylor:
An Ironman streak quietly came to an end Wednesday, when Colts’ RB Jonathan Taylor missed his first football practice due to a toe injury.Until Wednesday, Taylor never missed a practice at Salem High School in New Jersey, at Wisconsin, or with Indianapolis.

That streak is especially impressive for a running back, which is known a a workhorse role and comes with a lot of contact. And with contact comes injury.
Taylor has been known for his dependability since joining the league out of Wisconsin in 2020. In college he rushed for a combined total of 6,174 yards and 50 touchdowns across 3 years in Madison. He had 2 1,000 yards season and was 23 yards shy of another his freshman year.
