Former Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor is having an MVP-like season for the Indianapolis Colts and he may have just sealed the deal for the award with another specular performance.

Taylor just surpassed the 2,000-yard mark for the Colts in their game Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

So far, Taylor has 73 yards on the ground and one touchdown. Taylor’s breakout performance may have been a few weeks against the New England Patriots.

In the Colts’ 27-17 victory, Taylor rushed for 170 yards and 1 touchdown and closed out the game with a long touchdown run.

Since then, NFL experts have put the former Badger in the NFL MVP conversation. He was also the leading vote-getter among fans for this year’s Pro Bowl.
