Wisconsin freshman running back Jonathan Taylor has been phenomenal this season. The New Jersey native enters the B1G Championship game against the Ohio State Buckeyes with 1,806 yards in 12 games, an average of 150.5 yards per game. That means Taylor has a possibly to make history on Saturday night.

Taylor needs 120 rushing yards to set the FBS record for rushing yards in a single season by a freshman. The current record holder: Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 1,925 yards at Oklahoma in 2004.

The good thing for Taylor, he has rushed for at least 120 yards in nine of Wisconsin’s 12 games this season. That includes three games of 200-plus yards. So, it seems likely that Taylor will break Peterson’s record against Ohio State.
