Jonathan Taylor on return to Colts: 'If somebody wasn't committed, they wouldn't be here'
Jonathan Taylor was activated from the PUP list on Monday after an ankle injury sidelined him for the start of the 2023 season.
But Taylor’s last few months have been unorthodox to put it kindly. The former Wisconsin RB requested a trade prior to the start of the season over contract concerns heading into the final year of his rookie deal, a request that was effectively denied despite reports of potential suitors.
. And with how RBs are treated in the NFL today compared to other position groups, it’s not terribly difficult to see things from his point of view.
The Colts cleared him to return to practice Wednesday. On Thursday, Taylor spoke with reporters and told them that despite the offseason drama, he’s here and he’s committed to playing for Indianapolis this season.

Some on social media question the motive behind Taylor’s past 3 months – chief among which, his threatening to hold out – if he’s just going to about face and suit up for Indianapolis regardless.
The Colts face off against division rival Tennessee Sunday afternoon.
