Jonathan Taylor did everything he could to help the Indianapolis Colts win in Week 1 against the Houston Texans. This type of game has become an expectation for him.

The Colts found themselves down 20-3 heading into the 4th quarter. The 4th-quarter comeback started with a field goal from Rodrigo Blankenship, followed by a 2-yard TD rush from Taylor. Michael Pittman Jr. also found the end zone to tie up the game, and send it into overtime.

Indianapolis and Houston could not score in overtime, and the game ended in a 20-20 tie. However, Taylor lit up the Texans’ rush defense with 161 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. He also had 4 receptions for 14 yards receiving.

Taylor led the NFL in rushing yards (1,811) and touchdowns (18) last season.

If the Colts want to challenge the Tennessee Titans for a division title this season, Taylor will need to have more games like this. The Colts have not won the AFC South since 2014.

Taylor and the Colts will travel to Jacksonville for their next game on Sept. 18.
