Jonathan Taylor's remarkable streak snapped in loss for Indianapolis Colts
Jonathan Taylor had a strong game once again for the Indianapolis Colts, but his incredible streak of games hitting 100 yards was snapped in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In Sunday’s game, Taylor posted 83 yards rushing and found the end zone with a game-tying touchdown late in the 4th quarter. He also added 14 yards receiving in the game to give him 97 yards from scrimmage.
A defensive stop by the Colts to force overtime would have likely been enough for Taylor to continue his streak of 100+ yards and 1 TD in each game to 9 straight contests. Unfortunately, Leonard Fournette scored a go-ahead touchdown with 20 seconds remaining and the win for Tampa Bay.
Despite his streak of 100-yard games, Taylor is already on the cusp of more milestones this season. He is already up to 14 rushing touchdowns which is the most for a Colts player in a season since Eric Dickerson had 14 in 1988. Taylor’s 9th straight game with a rushing touchdown also ties the franchise’s single-season record.
