Wisconsin had a new injury happen at practice on Monday. While not major, Badgers OL Tanor Bortolini will be missing some time per Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Bortolini suffered some sort of right leg injury at practice on Monday, and was seen in a right leg sleeve at Thursday’s practice. Potrykus believes he may have dodged a bullet, and avoided a major injury. The Badgers lineman played in 10 games for Paul Chryst last season, and had 5 starts at the guard position.

The Wisconsin OL could be slated for a more consistent starting role, if he can stay healthy. The good news is that Bortolini is only a sophomore, and still has plenty of time to work on his craft. The one thing he needs more of is experience.

Hopefully, Bortolini should be healthy in time for Wisconsin’s season opener against Illinois State on Sept. 3. That game will be broadcast on FS1 at 7 p.m. ET.
