As one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL right now, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt isn’t afraid of the spotlight. But in a few weeks, the stage will be a little bit different.

Recently, it was announced that Watt will serve as a host for the popular television show Saturday Night Live. His appearance in New York City is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1, the night before Super Bowl LIV.

Watt will host and country singer Luke Combs will be the musical talent for the show.

Watt is coming off a season in which he appeared in eight games, making 24 tackles and collecting four sacks. He also broke up three passes in 2019.

Watt just completed his ninth year in the NFL. Before becoming a star with the Texans, he was one of the top defensive lineman in country during his time with the Wisconsin Badgers.
