The Los Angeles Rams are hanging onto former Wisconsin star Rob Havenstein, reportedly signing the offensive tackle to a big extension heading into the start of the 2022 NFL season.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Rams are signing Havenstein to a three-year extension. That deal is expected to be worth $34.5 million with $24.1 million guaranteed.

The deal contains $6 million worth of incentives and makes Havenstein the 6th-highest paid RT in the league.

Havenstein was selected by the Rams in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has since appeared in 99 games (all starts) for the Franchise over his first 7 seasons in the NFL.

During the 2021 season, Havenstein started 15 games for the Super Bowl champs.

During his time at Wisconsin, the Badgers went an impressive 39-16 while Havenstein appeared in 54 games with 42 starts. He ended his career with 41 straight starts at right tackle for the Badgers.

In Havenstein’s tenure, Wisconsin produced a trio of 1,000-yard rushers and some of the best rushing offenses in Badger history.
