March Madness buzzer-beater: Chattanooga wins SoCon OT thriller, punches ticket to Big Dance
It’s March and the Madness is here. The Southern Conference champion’s spot in the NCAA Tournament is going to Chattanooga thanks to a long 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Furman took a 63-61 lead over the Mocs with 4.3 seconds to go in overtime. Chattanooga, coached by former Wisconsin assistant Lamont Paris, did not call a timeout. David Jean-Baptitste nailed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the Mocs to the Big Dance as SoCon champs.
