Melvin Gordon ices Broncos win with massive 70-yard TD
By Paul Harvey

Melvin Gordon saved his best run for late in the game to open the NFL season, but it put him over 100 yards and gave him a big day with the Denver Broncos.
With the Broncos holding a 20-7 lead in the fourth quarter, Gordon’s number was called from his own 30-yard line. The blocking set up nicely and he was quickly off to the races, rolling all the way for a 70-yard score.
That put Denver up 27-7, more than enough of a cushion to cruise to the finish line:

Gordon finished off the afternoon with 101 yards on 11 carries and the huge touchdown. He also reeled in 3 catches for 17 yards.
Denver now has a solid supporting cast on offense and a new quarterback with Teddy Bridgewater. It will be interesting to see if Gordon can produce a strong year with that unit.
