Nick Herbig reveals decision on 2023 NFL Draft
Nick Herbig has revealed his intentions for next season and beyond.
The star Wisconsin defender took to Twitter to announce that he will be entering the 2023 NFL Draft. Herbig thanked Jesus Christ, his teammates, and all of his coaches in Madison. Herbig classified Wisconsin fans as “the best fans in the country.”
Herbig also shouted out the Badger fanbase for “accepting a young kid from over 4,000 miles away in Kauai,” and for making his family “feel at home for the past 3 years.”

Herbig led the Badgers in sacks by a wide margin in 2022 with 11. Herbig also contributed 15.5 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles. Herbig is tied for 7th all-time in sacks for the Badgers, accumulating 21 in his career.
Herbig is projected to be a mid-round pick in the draft. New Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell will have to find a way to replace Herbig’s production in the pass-rushing department.
