Quintez Cephus announces eligibility update on Twitter
Earlier this week, Wisconsin wide receiver Quintez Cephus was readmitted to the university he once attended.
Cephus was acquitted in criminal court for sexual assault charges earlier this month.
However, that is all behind him. Cephus is back and he was even on Wisconsin’s latest official roster a few days ago. So, when will Cephus be eligible to actually play again?
Apparently it will be the start of this season:
God is good! So thankful to be eligible to play with my teammates! Thank you to everyone who helped get me to this point! #OnWisconsin pic.twitter.com/Qx81n9LZ4N

Cephus last played at Wisconsin in 2017 when he caught 30 passes for 501 yards and 6 TD. That was during his sophomore season and then he missed 2018 due to the aforementioned issues.
2019 will be Cephus’ third as a Badger. The team is known for its hard-nosed, bruising rushing attack offensively, but adding the 6-foot-1 pass-catcher will certainly help an offense that always needs a boost in the passing game.
Wisconsin’s 2019 season starts on Aug. 30 when the Badgers have to travel to take on USF.
